A past  uk winner.  They are few and far between.  One of the best in my opinion

When is Eurovision 2023?
The Eurovision week will have three shows: Semi-final 1 on Tuesday, Semi-final 2 on Thursday and the Grand Final on Saturday:

Semi-final 1: 9 May 2023
Semi-final 2: 11 May 2023
Grand Final: 13 May 2023
All three live shows will start at 21:00 CEST and will be hosted by Julia Sanina, Graham Norton, Hannah Waddingham and Alesha Dixon

Having done a sterling job of the Coronation, I'm sure the BBC will do an equally good job
for Eurovision. I have just one question. What happens if we win?

I’ve not heard of CEST before: Central European Summer Time (an hour ahead of us)

I was thinking earlier that up to around 1978 our representatives at the Eurovision were well known singers, ie Cliff,Lulu, Kathy Kirby Katrina and the waves, Sandie Shaw,and more. The uk were nearly always in the top 5. Since around 1978 this changed [apart from 1981 and Bucks Fizz won]and we started entering singers that were little known.I'd never heard of Sam Ryder and he did well to come second, but I thought he was a winner. I wonder if the change had/ has anything to do with us losing so badly all those years? I think Jemini are best forgotten

The ten countries which qualified for the final on Thursday (11 May), in random order, are Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Poland, Australia, Armenia and Slovenia.

The successful acts from Thursday’s semi-final join those from Tuesday’s show (9 May) – Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, Czechia, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia and Norway.

Well they've kicked off with Austria, and IMO they should be.

I heard some rubbish in my time. Germany just added to it.

Poor uk second from the bottom. I didnt rate the song but there was a lot worse .
