As I emigrated to Canada in 1965 aged 19, I never really knew the Casino but heard all about it over the years.

Wigan STEAM is based on Hope Street in The Galleries and will be partially reopening from 5th September.

Wigan Casino was not only northern soul , when it was Known as the "EMP"/ Casino most met their wives and husbands ( to be ) in there , it was thriving before NS came to the notice of the music world .
NS took it in a different direction , but it did have a life before NS.
Everyone I knew of my age group went to the Casio every week .
