We used to use a 'guzunder' at the pit. Every electrician had one. A 'guzunder key'!

Yes we had them at home when I was a lad. And for longer up at the caravan.

My g/parents had one and it was my job to empty it when full and to make things worse
there was no handle on it so it was carried with both thumbs getting wet.
