Queen Mary had a boat named after her.

It's the Market Hall on the market square side as it originally was. Press reports for the visit say "their Majesties, together with the Mayor and Stephen Walsh MP, attended a presentation on a crowded market square".

They travelled though Hindley then visited Knowsley Hall for for a royal command performance
