An anagram (cooked) of PUB GARDEN DID


3) Resident worker following popular custom (10) I N _ _ _ _ _ _ _ T
The two letter ‘popular’ is followed by a custom or regular activity and finally, a worker insect.


4) Get a free ride seeing problem with increase (5-4) H _ _ _ _ - H _ _ _
A problem or snag and then an increase, often used in relation to prices.


5) Firstly, all those extra unwanted parcels put away (3, 2) _ _ _ _ _
The initial letters of five consecutive words in the clue as indicated by the word firstly
