A very good day dear friends.
First of all let me say that I must apologise for my long absence.
I have had the most dreadful year starting with an 11 week confinement in Bolton Royal Hospital and then a care home, after having collapsing fits.
When I got out in February my body was racked with pain which has only just been diagnosed and is being treated, I have Polymyalgia.
I realised in the care home how bad my eyes had become and my optician said I needed cataract surgery which was done in May and July in two separate operations, and that has taken months to heal.
This week I finally got new glasses and my eyesight is back to normal.
None of this excuses my absence, but with poor health, my quiz duties on here and just general domestic distractions something had to give.
It’ll be nice to join in with Mo and Lolly again.
I’ll post my answers later, and maybe just post my words and not what’s left, it’s too much bother to suss that out !!!! LOL Very Happy

Welcome back Ray..im in the same boat I'm afraid..our lee has been run off his feet lately,I've had a terrible year as our Lizzie and zlolly knows,now I'm down with kidney infection which all seems to stem from the C. Diff I picked up,I can't sleep for the pain ,without being dramatic I've had easier childbirths..and I have to have cataracts out,my eyesight is terrible...I am as they say really fed up,just can't come round after being in Hospital..but hey ho the show must go on mustn't it.

Hello Mo, thank you for your concern.
The Polymyalgia has been debilitating, I have been in constant excruciating pain from early February till a week or more ago when the doctor prescribed steroid tablets.
Within 4 to 5 days I was much better and now after about 2 weeks I am almost back to normal.
I’m sorry to hear of your ill health and hope you can recover soon, the fact that you are comparing it to childbirth sounds awful.
Let me give you some good advice as regards your cataracts.
My optician who is in Hindley said not to go to Boston House for the surgery but to go to SpaMedica in Bolton, a private hospital who do NHS work.
I cannot recommend them highly enough, I only waited 2 weeks for the surgery and both eyes were done painlessly and efficiently with superb doctors and staff.
It’s great getting’ owd !!!!! LOL Very Happy

Thank you Ray,but nowadays if I have to go out of town I have to rely on our Lee but he works very long hours in care work and sometimes has to stay overnight.so I have to rely on taxis..I had to go to town on Tuesday I think it was and I felt that ill I got a taxi..it was £ 7. 40 just to get to the top of Libray St.,when I go to Boston House I go by bus.
