The Canal & River Trust are currently recruiting Water Safety Education Volunteers to deliver assemblies in local primary schools.

Good idea, jo anne....I believe they are strapped for cash from the Government, so this is the way and there are always volunteers to sign up. Good luck to them.............

We frequently walk up and down the L & L Wigan flight and meet the volunteers who man the locks and give people information, they do a superb job.
I’m sure that the C & RT have volunteers on all of their locations.
They give up their time for free and without them the C & RT couldn’t function.
