Mr. Jenkins is trying to find a butler he can really trust. Out of the four candidates, James, Hudson, Paul, and Steven, he knows that two are honest and the other two are compulsive liars. From what each one of them says, can you work out which two are the liars?

JAMES: “Neither Paul nor Hudson tells the truth.”
HUDSON: “If Steven is a liar, then James is trustworthy.”
PAUL: “If, and only if, James is not an honest person, then Steven, too, has a rather loose attitude to the truth.”
STEVEN: “What Paul said is untrue.”

Riddle: One day, the police found a man dead inside a hut. In his left hand, he's holding a gun. In his right hand, he has a recording. When the recording is played, the police hear the man talking about how horrible life is and how he wants it to end. The recording ends with a gunshot. The police are about to call it a suicide until you point out a very important clue. What is it?

How could he record a gunshot after he had pulled the trigger?

It's a strange answer for yesterday but I'll give the point to OY as he came close if not correct. It says the recording ended with a gunshot but it doesn't say if the recording was stopped or if it ran to the end of the tape where it stopped.....???

Answer: The recording played a gunshot inside it. If the man committed suicide, he wouldn't have been able to stop the recording after he pulled the trigger.
