Well I will tell you, because he is a man who is a legend in his own dinnertime
What we actually need is a Civil Engineer who knows how these things work

I was thinking more along the lines of him being this mon LINK a Spaghetti Westerner, a leg end in his own lunchtime, because he did used to shoot from the hip, but I wish I had never mentioned him now

Re: The Galleries
Mice tunnels are much smaller than rats
Rats could have built the channel tunnel in half the time that it took

Re: The Galleries
Wigan town centre to get its own Hilton hotel.
Wigan Council, in collaboration with its development partner Cityheart, has signed a franchise agreement with the international chain for a Hampton by Hilton branded 144-bedroom, 5,800 m2 hotel, as part of the £135 million redevelopment of the former shopping centre.
Designed by JM Architects, the hotel will be a six-storey building located off Market Street in Wigan’s town centre and will be managed and operated by Leaf Hospitality

So in view of that information, and my rant from last week, a franchised situation, so the developers will build the hotel and rent it out to the hotel operator, but the hotel operator will still have to stump up some substantial cash to get the thing open, and so who or what organisation will pay for it's construction, and where will it's customers park ?
Re: The Galleries
"where will it's customers park"...from TTS's post above....
This has been my bone of contention for quite a while. I still insist that free parking (for shoppers) and low rents for vendors is the key to a prosperous Wigan town centre.
Maybe I should run for the council...Who is with me?.................

Well the plans are for 225 podium parking spaces to be built for the flats, and I think that the underground area will be utilised by having maybe three levels of car parking, that is what the podium bit means, like a mezzanine floor in a building space, and each parking space will be only for vehicles with a maximum height of 2.4m, I have heard that part of the podium parking will actually be above ground, it is like a stacking system for cars, but I have heard of no plans for a public car park down there or one for the hotel, as regards the hotel and pavilion shopping area, I would imagine that they will want a basement area, so it's a lot to fit in down there, here is a video of the underground service area by the ever popular Mick Byrne.
